Cross Lake Equipping is a program that consists of classes and teaching aimed at deepening our theological and doctrinal understanding with an emphasis on how this understanding can draw our hearts closer to God and help grow our faith to bear on our actions.

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 does not stop with evangelism. As followers of Christ, we are called to make disciples of Jesus by teaching them to observe all that He has commanded us. That means that we want people to know God and grow in their faith. The heart of this program is to make disciples, to equip the body to grow up to maturity in their faith, so that we may no longer be children tossed to and fro (Ephesians 4:12-16). Our desire is that each person who goes through this program would gain knowledge and understanding about God and their faith and in doing so that their hearts would be transformed.

What if it’s Good News? A Surprising Look at the Wrath of God

When we hear the word wrath, most of us picture rage, punishment, or destruction—but what if God’s wrath is something far deeper and more hopeful? In this class, we’ll take a surprising look at one of the most uncomfortable attributes of God and discover that His wrath isn’t the opposite of His love, but an expression of it. God’s wrath is His passionate opposition to everything that destroys what He loves. Far from being bad news, it reveals His deep commitment to justice, goodness, and restoration. Join us as we rethink what it means for a loving God to be wrathful—and why that might actually be one of the best things about Him.

This will be a 3-week class on Tuesdays beginning December 3rd and ending December 17th. Each class will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. $5 per person. Childcare will be provided for toddlers through age 11.
