Cross Lake Equipping is a program that consists of classes and teaching aimed at deepening our theological and doctrinal understanding with an emphasis on how this understanding can draw our hearts closer to God and help grow our faith to bear on our actions.

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 does not stop with evangelism. As followers of Christ, we are called to make disciples of Jesus by teaching them to observe all that He has commanded us. That means that we want people to know God and grow in their faith. The heart of this program is to make disciples, to equip the body to grow up to maturity in their faith, so that we may no longer be children tossed to and fro (Ephesians 4:12-16). Our desire is that each person who goes through this program would gain knowledge and understanding about God and their faith and in doing so that their hearts would be transformed.

A Survey of World Religions: Gospel Conversations Across Beliefs

Christ calls His people to be faithful witnesses in the world around us. But many of our neighbors, coworkers, and friends follow very different religious beliefs or worldviews. In a world where we regularly encounter people from many different religious backgrounds, how can Christians speak about Jesus with wisdom, confidence, and love? This series will help us understand the basic beliefs and worldviews of several major religions and perspectives—including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and atheism/agnosticism. Our goal is not simply to learn about these beliefs, but to become better neighbors and more thoughtful witnesses for Christ. Together we’ll explore where these worldviews differ from the gospel, where meaningful conversations can begin, and how we can faithfully and graciously point people to the hope found in Jesus.

This will be a 13-week class on Wednesdays beginning May 27th and ending August 26th. Each class will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. $15 per person. Childcare will be provided for toddlers through age 11.
